Academic Dean
Dates: Jun 2014 – Oct 2017
I serve as the Academic Dean at the International College of the Cayman Islands, where I am part of the administrative team of educational leaders in charge of all academic programs and curricula, faculty body, facilitation and delivery, and students’ academic standards and success.
I lead the faculty team to develop and ensure the due process affecting students’ achievement standards are maintained, and improve teaching and learning outcomes to best prepare students for the global workforce.
The faculty body is a diverse team of qualified instructors, experienced facilitators, and industry experts. Each quarter, I have the pleasure of coordinating and chairing faculty meetings, organizing In-Service Training Sessions (professional development workshops), evaluating performance ( it is just awesome to see quality delivery and class interactions unfold before my eyes) and of course, ensuring that we have instructors with the required credentials and qualifications in the classroom.
As an academic advisor, I meet with students each quarter, and offer sound academic guidance in accordance to their degree plan. No student is registered without first speaking with an Advisor- that way, students stick to their anticipated end date and more importantly, get to converse and share any challenges that may arise during their tenure at the College.
